Located at a height of 2050 meters, Manali is a town in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in the northern end of the Kullu Valley, formed by the Beas River. Manali is situated at the beginning of an ancient trade route, extending over the Karakoram Pass. It is surrounded by snow-capped peaks of middle Himalayan ranges, serving as the gateway to the Lahaul and Spiti district.
