Hubballi or ‘Hubli’ as it is popularly called, is the second largest city of Karnataka and one amongst its fastest growing municipalities. It is also often referred to as the twin city of Dharwad, the administrative capital of the Dharwad district of Karnataka. A ‘smart city’ in the making, it is not just an educational and industrial hub of the State that is home to numerous automobile and heavy industries, but also a hub famous for its beautiful handloom textiles and an iron and cotton trading.
