Mr. Pandey is a Bachelor of Technology in Agricultural Engineering and an Associate Member of the Institute of Actuaries of India with over 37 years of experience.

Mr. Pandey retired as the Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation of India (‘LIC’) on 31st May, 2025. He joined LIC as a Direct Recruit Officer in 1988. During his long tenure with LIC, he held several key positions, notably as Regional Manager (IT) in the Central, East Central, and South Zones, Secretary (Actuarial) and Secretary (P&GS) at Central Office in Mumbai, Executive Director (Investment-Mid Office), Executive Director (ERM), Zonal Manager (Ordinary Scale), Chief (Actuarial), Chief (P&GS) and Zonal Manager (Selection Scale).
